Our bananas ripen in winter, so of course they are flowering now, and setting fruit. You might have seen one a few days ago with a Little Wattlebird feeding …but here is a close up of the flower and the young fruit.
Salutations to the Supreme One;
Full of bliss and happiness;
Knowledge personified, infinite,
Eternal, pure and free.
(verse 54 of the Sri Guru Gita)
Such an interesting species of plant/flower. So much prettier than a banana! 😉
yes, so lovely to watch unfolding, each big bract dropping away to reveal the tiny flowers beneath it, and the birds love them too 🙂
My eyes have never seen. a banana as pretty as thee. Wonderful photo.
BE ENCOURAHED! BE BLESSED!
What a beautiful, unusual plant. I’ve never seen one before. Thanks for sharing. 😉
I love banana flowers, they seem, well rather unearthly yet totally beautiful at the same time
Unearthly – They look like some kind of outer space refueling station!
Now this would be a nice picture to see here in Ohio, US of A. 🙂 But I can’t complain too much since what would normally be 20-30 something degrees Fahrenheit was today 60 something! Nice pic! 🙂
And I think you deserve another one in your collection : 🙂
