Today is the Cancer Council of Australia’s biggest fundraising day, with a target of $8.5 million. In our small town there are several stalls selling daffodils, handing our information and collecting donations. Daffodil Day is timed for the beginning of spring, when bulbs are flowering, and carries a message of hope for those suffering from cancer, and those working to provide funds for research and treatment. You can donate online,or just enjoy these golden blooms and send your love to those in need.
Daffodil Day is my favourite fundraiser. I must see if there is anyone still about with some bunches on my way home 🙂
good luck, they were going quickly in Moruya! I can’t help smiling and feeling that hope they speak of when I look at those cheery yellow faces 🙂
I think our Daff day is March 1st and you can buy little silk pins to wear.
sounds right Gilly, spring!
I always buy in memory of my Dad 🙂

Lovely, lovely way to brighten the path to healing!
