I love the way some photo prompts send one scurrying through the photo library with a whole new point of view. One of the reasons I have not been online is that I have been sewing! We are expecting a new grandchild in a few months, so I have pulled out the sewing machine, dug out the box of patchwork pieces, haunted the fabric shop, and had a lot of fun. Here is photo of fabrics, tilted in their own special way.

    • me too … it is almost impossible to sew them now, all the cheap imports have changed things … but perhaps there will be a resurgence of interest if textile workers are payed a fair wage πŸ™‚

    • yes, i have made a very cute little quilt (will post photos soon) but i want to make a proper cot quilt once we know who it is who has joined the family …. meanwhile i have got the bug and am sewing a =one from scraps for the three year old, who will be four next weekend!

  1. Such cheerful, pretty colours. I was never much at sewing but admire those who can, and fabrics are lovely. I want to dive in and sniff. A new arrival- exciting times! πŸ™‚

  2. The gums and the yellows of the fabric both appeal. I love wandering through both gum stands and fabric shops. The yellows are lovely. Congratulations on the new grandchild to be πŸ™‚

    • thank you! we are excited, and the idea of a new baby has challenged me to sew … meanwhile i will make something for the three year old too (she turns 4 this weekend!)

  3. Another grandchild….how wonderful! Congratulations Christine! Those bales of fabric are beautiful and summery. Can’t wait to see the finished quilt.
