The cattle were on the lower slopes of Gulaga mountain, while the ferns and flowers were growing along the track. I am sure you can feel the coolness of the ferns, the sweet flowers, and friendly cattle.
I can feel them, to the point that I can smell the scents that would go with wet soil, wild flowers, and everything else nature would have to share on a hike with this beautiful scenery. Nicely done!
they freeze and get brown and fall over and get covered with snow and then they pop out of the ground in the spring, soft green little things that miraculously grow and thrive 🙂
amazing!!! i am sure the ferns here would be terribly shocked by snow!
What a lovely mix of ferns, I love them and the moist atmosphere and undergrowth must smell so intense. Best of all is the pretty little brown calf 🙂

so glad you enjoyed this beautiful place and nature’s gifts!
Oh, the sight of greenery on a day in the north where the sky is gray, their is snow on the ground and the temperature is 10 degrees.
BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!
i love to see your snow just as much as you enjoy my greenery francine, aren’t we lucky!
Love all the green! And it looks like the cows wanted to be friends
you are right, the one near the fence was called “Bob’s Boy” so I think they were used to company 🙂
I absolutely love ferns 🙂
do you have some indoors judy?
no, we grow them outside.
what happens to them in winter … do they disappear for a while?

i really liked that little calf too … hate to think of the reason it lives … to feed meat eaters … but i think that herd were well loved 🙂
I’m with you on that, I don’t know how they can. It does help a little to know they are well cared for.
Vividly stunning!
Absolutely lovely! The shot of the fence is my absolute favourite!
aaahh, the old fence, right at the beginning of the walk up the mountain … fortunately Tilba has retained its old world charm!
