Is that an overused mobile phone with all that smoke coming out of it? Nope – it’s drifting smoke from a ciggy. Not sure I view smoking as civilised or chic … but that’s me π Very nice set of people shots π
I agree with you 100% about smoking, but it is still endemic in country France, hard to avoid sadly …. no it was the scene that was civilised, everyone relaxed and chatting in the open air π
I love the quiet ‘country’ France where the games of petanque go on into the small hours of the next morning and the locals in the local sports bar ply me with scotch because my father was a Scotsman;-) – Memories from Villefranche de Lauragais in the Limoux area π
This is how I remember Paris; fascinated with the outdoor cafe’ and people watching; whether dressed “up” or “down”, Parisians all seemed fashionable to me; and like each one could be the start of a fiction story. I loved the feeling of being in the midst.
Wonderful social sceens of outdoor cafe. Love people watching.
BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!
I’d love to pull up a chair…. π
Lovely images, Christine. It looks like a great place to be. Happy weekend to you. π

She made me think of Breakfast at Tiffany’s Christine. I really love that shot of her…needs to be up on a cafe wall somewhere
I had forgotten how civilised and chic! Thanks Daidirri π

I agree — people, many, many people, smoke in Paris – very noticeable.

Wonderful scenes, Christine. You captured a few slices of time. π
in some ways it is years behind more cosmopolitan places, but often the values are right, such as an emphasis on wholesome locally produced food π
Wonderful captures of local life, Christine π
