Banksia Red Rover

All Banksia flowers are spectacular, and greatly sought after by nectar-eating birds. We have been waiting for three years for this Banksia ericifolia Red Rover to flower, and finally this autumn the elegant red-tipped flowers have begun to open.

“I think you can tremendously influence the world if you yourself are not violent, if you lead actually every day a peaceful life.” Krishnamurti

We are in the middle of a huge Harvest Festival, three days of activities, feasting, gardening and celebrating … photos coming after the weekend . Wishing you all peace today!

  1. It’s fantastic to nurture a plant and then see, after years of growth and maturation, what a beautiful flower it reveals. Glorious. I bet you love this beauty, it is spectacular.
