Wow, I was just sent this gorgeous sunflower, a Reader Appreciation Award! That means that dear Gilly Goldsworthy appreciates me, since I read her blog and make comments fairly regularly. Gilly has a great blog, wise, touching and funny, and we share some interests, so reading it is a sweet joy. What a nice gift from half the world away. That’s a first for me, an international award! I feel a bit uneasy accepting it, however. Sharing words and images with you and your readers is such a pleasure. This sunflower will bring warmth to me as we head into our winter months. I’m counting on you to provide visual nourishment to me through your spring and summer while I’m surrounded by the blanket of snow and cold fingers on my shutter. Thank you.
