Reader Appreciation Award

Wow, I was just sent this gorgeous sunflower, a Reader Appreciation Award! That means that dear Gilly Goldsworthy appreciates me, since I read her blog and make comments fairly regularly. Gilly has a great blog, wise, touching and funny, and we share some interests, so reading it is a sweet joy. Now the wonderful thing about this award is that once you get it, you can pass it on …. so here is to my 6 best readers … those who make comments and appreciate my blog. Thanks to them I do feel appreciated, part of a community, I feel heard, and enjoyed, a very big thing in this crazy world! To those readers who are not in the 6, I really appreciate you too and hope the sunflower works it way around to you soon 🙂

If you want to show your readers they are appreciated then send the sunflower through the ether!

Here’s the rules:

  1. Award your top 6 bloggers who have commented the most.
  2. Be thankful.
  3. You cannot award someone who has already been awarded. And you cannot give the award back to me.
  4. Don’t forget to tell the bloggers you’ve awarded.
  5. If you don’t want to pass on this award, that’s okay to. Just admire it.
My choices for the Reader Appreciation Award are:
island traveler at http://thismansjourney.net/ for his endless enthusiasm, love, and beautiful generous spirit
sue at http://napkinwriter.wordpress.com/ for being my earliest encourager and really keeping me going with appreciation and respect, for sharing her wisdom with me and always having something to offer, a soul sister indeed
claire at http://promenadeplantings.com/ for her understanding time after time through the great variety of my posts
jake at http://jakesprinters.wordpress.com/ for his forthright comments that hit to the heart of the matter
douglas at http://www.words4it.com/ for sharing my love of birds and the natural world, and encouraging me to be brave and let the poet out now and then

  1. What a nice gift from half the world away. That’s a first for me, an international award! I feel a bit uneasy accepting it, however. Sharing words and images with you and your readers is such a pleasure. This sunflower will bring warmth to me as we head into our winter months. I’m counting on you to provide visual nourishment to me through your spring and summer while I’m surrounded by the blanket of snow and cold fingers on my shutter. Thank you.

  2. How lovely. and thank you for thinking of me! The sunflower is a ray of warmth on a very cold and snowy day here. It’s such a pleasure to read your blog, so many different things to enjoy, I hope to be reading many more 🙂
