how about inside the umbrella? can you see something?

and here he is ... Litoria dentata or Bleating Tree Frog

These beautiful frogs discovered the umbrella is a perfect safe hideaway, out of reach of the red-bellied snakes and the cormorants that come hunting them. When we carefully open the umbrella some drop off into the water, others shuffle a little, then sit tight to watch our curious faces. Like us, guests and children are enchanted.

    • we used to have a bathroom courtyard and these same frogs would find their way into the room, hiding in the top track of the shower screen …their loud shriek as you blearily opened the shower door in the morning was quite a shock!
